Bogenvil Resources Development Corporation (AROB) Ltd (Kabui Model) Authorization Act 2008

Being an Act:

(a) to assist in giving effect to, and to exercise, the Autonomous Bougainville Government’s custodianship of resources on Bougainville pursuant to Section 23 of the Bougainville Constitution;

(b) to assist in the integration and coordination of development of industries in and the resources of Bougainville in partnership with the People of Bougainville pursuant to section 24 of the Bougainville Constitution;

(c) to recognize the establishment of Bogenvil Resources Development Corporation (AROB) Lt. as a commercial enterprise formed for the purpose of attracting and raising foreign domestic capital for investment in Bougainville;

(d) to recognize Bogenvil Resources Development Corporation (AROB) Lt. as a business platform which has been established to assist in economic recovery and advancement of Bougainville;

(e) to provide that Bogenvil Resources Development Corporation (AROB) Lt. is not the ABG  or an instrumentality of the ABG and that its assets are not public asset;

(f) to further provide standards of operation for Bogenvil Resources Development Corporation (AROB)Ltd; and

(g) to recognize the Agreement entered into between Autonomous Bougainville Government and the Bogenvil Resources Development Corporation (AROB)Ltd. dated the 25th day of April 2008,

Bougainville Senior Appointments (Process and Acting Appointments) Act 2008

Being an Act to:

(a) provide for the procedures of the Bougainville Senior Appointments Committee, as empowered by section 102(3) of the Bougainville Constitution, and

(b) provide for a person to be appointed to act temporarily in an office of a Bougainville Constitutional Office -holder in circumstances where there is a vacancy in such an office which cannot readily be filled, as authorized by section 189(7) of the Bougainville Constitution.

Official Personal Staff Act 2008

Being an Act to provide-

(a) official personal staff for-

(i)    the President; and

(ii) the Vice-President; and

(iii) each other Minister, and

(iv) the chairman of each Sectoral and Advisory Committee of the House of Representatives;

(v) each member of the House of Representatives

(vi) such other office-holders as designated as eligible persons under Section 2; and

(b) to fix the number of official personal staff to which each person referred to in Paragraph (a) is entitled; and

(c) to fix the terms and conditions of employment and manner of employment of official personal staff and to fix their titles designations;

(d) to meet the requirements of Section 153(1)(c)(i) of the Bougainville Constitution,
