Is using goal weight better than current weight? No. It’s just one way I’ve used with my Inner Circle members and clients that works very well. What if you don’t have a goal weight because [insert dramatic story of why you don’t use the scale anymore]? Great, don’t use a goal weight. Use your current weight or another formula altogether. Listen. There are no absolutes in fitness. None. It’s a constant ebb and flow and the moment you think you’ve found the “right” answer is the moment you’ll see you have none of the answers.
