Another huge key for how to build muscle after 50 is YOU NEED TO LIFT WEIGHTS! Resistance training is necessary, and when it comes to injuries, you can’t give up. Listen to your body and make adjustments to your workout routine to help your body rest and recover. Something you really need to stay away from is drinking too much alcohol. That is going to hinder your muscle building process. It is okay to have a couple days a week to drink, but just not everyday.
